What is the reason that so many people seem to have to ask other people for help, even before they try to figure the problem out for themselves? Is it just because most people are lazy, is it because they have been trained to ask other people for help, or what else could be the reason?
How does someone get out of this rut?
Well, first of all, they have to want to get out of the rut. Assuming that they do, I would say that they need to take one thing, one problem, one situation, and decide that they are going to do it themselves no matter how hard it is. Obviously one should be at least slightly judicious with this, there are somethings that some people cannot do alone.
After someone does their first thing by themselves, it becomes self perpetuating, more or less. This is true before as well, but after they get that feeling of accomplishing their goal by themselves, they will want to try things by themselves more.
It is important to remember that all of the thoughts that I have, and the way that I think, those things determine the outcome of my life. The same is true for you. It is hard to change how you think, but it is one of the most life changing things that you can do. Whether you change your thinking for the better, or you change your thinking for the worse, it will affect your entire life, their is no escaping that. You have the power to shape how your life will turn out. Now, being realistic, their are some things that you cannot change, you cannot change who your mother was, you cannot change where you were born, but the list of things that you cannot change is definitely smaller than most people think that it is.
